My company needed an LMS for Content Creation for upskilling current employees and onboarding new employees. We also needed a way to house training and informational resources. When using our previous LMS, it was difficult to easily create beautiful and useful content and support from that LMS was slow and lacking actual help. 90% of learning content and resources is made in house. We needed a robust LMS to support this.

We use Absorb to distribute training to our internal employees, as well as to distribute product training to our client base.
Absorb is a fully functional LMS for our employees, but truly shines when it comes to our needed support for our client training.
Here, Absorb allows us to customize the messaging and training distributed to various segments of our client base. Our client-facing training takes the form of videos, PDF's, quizzes, and SCORM or TinCan files, all of which Absorb handles with ease and provides accurate tracking for. We offer a variety of free and paid training, with custom pricing for some of our larger clients. Absorb's eCommerce features are robust and allow us to meet all of these needs with minimal manual manipulation.

Absorb is a well-rounded LMS. With a competitive price point, it makes a great entry point LMS for smaller companies who haven't used an LMS. And with it's robust feature set and stability can grow with you into a large multi-national audience.

As our company has continued to grow, my team went on a hunt for a learning management system to house all of our trainings, processes and update processes. Hands down Absorb LMS has been outstanding! We absolutely love Absorb Create to build engaging training courses, the reporting is easy to build and share wins with the team on how departments are engaging.

Hands down 10/10 Absorb LMS and the Absorb Staff are awesome! Anytime I find myself stumbling with an issue and cannot find the answer in Knowledge base the Absorb LMS Support Staff is on top of getting me the direction to proceed very quickly! They are always so quick to respond and friendly.

We utilize the Absorb LMS to deliver required training and supplemental trainings to our 2500+ corporate/retail/warehouse employees across the globe. We wanted to have a user-friendly, engaging solution that would be easy to use and would encourage self-development and exploration of our training modules. It had to connect to our HRIS System (Workday) and have reporting tools available to managers across the business.
  • Usability - Both the User and Admin Experience is so simple and intuitive. The admin tools are clearly defined and laid out, yet the functionality makes it still powerful.
  • Integration - We used the Scheduled Data Imports and Exports to connect with our HRIS tool. After the initial configuration, it has worked reliably and gives me all the custom data I need to make assignments and reporting a breeze.
  • Design - I know it's covered a little bit in the Usability above, but the site just looks fantastic. There are a lot of options to customize and fit your branding requirements and all of the thumbnails/posters/billboards/etc give a very visual and appealing look to the LMS. Much better than I've seen in other products.
  • Reporting - The out of the box reporting is a little cumbersome when trying to view more than one course at a time.
  • Completed courses disappear from catalog - I know there is a setting, but it's also connected to the My Courses display so its either all or nothing. Would love to see that option split up
  • Training History does not show inactive courses - To keep an accurate training history, courses cannot be deactivated or else the records disappear to the user.
It's good for medium to large-sized companies that want an engaging and easy-to-use platform while still maintaining powerful admin tools. It might be too expensive for a smaller company that might not use all of the functionality.

Our company implemented Absorb LMS less than a year ago as our company's first-ever LMS. We reviewed several LMS systems and found that Absorb offered the features that we desired at a lower cost than other competitors. Prior to adopting an LMS, our training courses and records were decentralized and difficult to manage. Many of our prior training materials were PowerPoint presentations and not interactive for the audience. Adopting Absorb's LMS allowed us to centralize training records, provided easier access to training on-demand, and provided a more modern platform using video-based training. We were also able to create custom content with quizzes to confirm that learning objectives were met. Having the training records centralized in the LMS enabled our company to more efficiently confirm competency requirements for various industry and customer audits. We were much more efficient in transitioning repetitive training that had been instructor-led to video-based.

Absorb is a great LMS for most applications. It was fairly easy to learn to configure and looks very professional. Our employees adopted the system fairly quickly and we had mostly positive feedback. The base Absorb platform provides basic reporting, so if you are going to need more customized reporting, then you will need to purchase the additional module for Absorb Analyze. The Manager Experience is still evolving, and managers may want to have more ability to do things in this part of the system than what is currently available. There is a connector that can be purchased from ADP to connect it with Absorb's LMS, although our company chose to develop our own API connector. We are currently using third-party course authoring software. The Absorb Amplify courses are good if you want to add immediate content to the system, although the courses are very basic.

Absorb is used as our Learning Management System. Our employees take e-learning courses through the platform, and log external training that they've taken on their own. Absorb also allows us to customize and run individual reports and dashboards. We also use it to share some company wide communications. Additionally it lets us collect feedback on training through the platform, send communications, create entire learning programs, and so much more.
  • The reporting feature in Absorb is very strong. Reports are customizable to your company needs and the Absorb Analyze feature is very helpful. Having the ability to create dashboards right from your learning platform builds efficiency especially in our company where we don't have a data visualization platform i.e. PowerBI or Tableau.
  • Absorbs ability to connect to course libraries such as GO1 is an amazing feature that opens up the learning possibilities and creates a unique benefit for our employees.
  • The Absorb engage features are a useful addition for communicating with our employees and gamifying learning. The billboards let us share information throughout the company. Leaderboards create incentive to complete training. Polls let us quickly gain insights on employee opinions.
  • We've encountered errors with certain trainings not marking complete and we have to go in and do this manually.
  • Within Absorb analyze, it would be useful to be able to create visualizations & reports using 2 different data sources.
Absorb's customizable features makes it the perfect LMS for companies of all different sizes looking to train and engage their workforce. Our company has unique training needs and Absorb lets us create our own e-learning from scratch or upload relevant training from an external library. Absorb's advanced reporting features keep company leaders informed on training progress and integrates learning into their weekly priorities. It's been the perfect solution for all of our learning & development needs.

Its content creation tools helped us build strong and agile courses and curriculums on topics such as onboarding and product knowledge, which can be easily monitored through their reporting features. The simple interface and features allow users from different departments to understand and develop their different solutions.

We use Absorb to support our internal learning centre to provide a centralized learning platform for employees. We use this to host company wide trainings, while also giving individual departments and business units the ability to post internal trainings to their employees.

Pre Absorb we had no LMS, which meant all L&D functionality was manual - reporting, marking attendance, scheduling sessions, targeted employee training etc. We also had nowhere to house all of the internal e-learnings that we had available. Absorb has helped us to fix this by centralizing all learning, providing in-depth reporting through Analyze, and offering e-learnings via uploaded SCORM files.
  • Our CSM has been fantastic. Very approachable and takes on all questions/concerns we have.
  • Analyze has allowed us to take our reporting to another level.
  • Robust support site where client feedback/ideas can be posted. This is reviewed by the product team to determine whether this can be implemented. The feedback is always taken on board and I have seen a number of suggested ideas move forward to the implementation phase.
  • Great knowledge base for admins with articles/resources to provide step by step work throughs of the different features available.
  • At the moment you are unable to schedule recurring sessions that are different durations and/or cadence to each other. For e.g. if you have 3 ILC sessions and the time between session 1 and 2 is 1 week but 2 and 3 is 2 weeks, then this can't be recurring. Meaning individual ILC sessions need to be set up and users having to enroll in 3 sessions instead of 1.
  • Auto enrolment for ILC sessions would be great. Would allow us to automatically new employees in to the required onboarding training without us having to do a manual file upload via FTP
  • Custom messaging options. In addition to the messages that can already be sent out, it would be great if custom messaging could be sent out to address a certain subject that is not covered in the existing messaging.
  • The option to send out resources at certain intervals after a training has taken place. We send out learning boosters for our programmes at 2 day, 2 week, 2 month intervals. This is a manual task as there is no way to automate this via Absorb.
The ability to scale up quickly while providing more in depth tools (engage, analyze) to provide more functionality. As these are add-ons, you are able to build a package that is best suite to your organisation. On the whole, we have very few examples where Absorb is not suited to us as an organisation, however I could see how if you were considerable smaller, then it could be quite an expensive option if you want to have access to the full suite of features.

Absorb is the LMS that powers our internal training site. We use it to house the schedule for all of our instructor-led courses, elearning (mandatory and optional) and resources. We have about 12,000 users on the platform. It allows us to automate onboarding, track engagement with all of our training mediums, and provide metrics and reporting via Analyze.

Generally the admin portal is very easy to use and intuitive. I had no experience prior but was able to pick it up quickly based on general LMS knowledge I did have. I think there is also room to grow in the design and being able to customize templates/pages that the users see.

We use the Absorb LMS to track education and external training all in one transcript. We also track MSHA ceus on the transcipt.

Issues we had in the past was assigning manditory education to those in the same division and job title correctly. Before some were being missed. Tracking expirey dates of cpr cards and renewing them. We are also cutting down on in person new hire orientation by delivering it through Absorb electronically as a video.

The client success manager, Jason M., has provided great service and quick turn around time. When we had a ticket open because we didn't know if it was the course not working or the vendor controlling the course Jason was able to investigate and keep updating us until we resolved it . Testing the issue and figured out it was an issue on the vendor side.

We use it to assign trainings, deliver, and track trainings. We also use the training compliance data from the Absorb LMS to report to our clients on a regular basis and during audits to indicate that we are training staff appropriately to handle the work. Managers at our company also utilize the training completion data to ensure that projects are resourced correctly and that their project team members are keeping up with assigned trainings as expected. We have integrated our Absorb LMS with LinkedIn Learning to expand professional development options for our staff.

  • Provides an easy method for enrolling users to trainings in bulk.
  • The default reporting and data export options from the administrator interface do not always allow you to report across all the desired data points. We have recently added Analyze and we think this might open up our options considerably.
  • There is not an audit trail available for custom fields. This would be a nice feature to have so we can see who made changes to data within those.
  • The ability to export an audit trail would be nice.
Absorb LMS has been a great platform for us to deliver and track trainings. I think the reporting has been a side of the system that hasn't always given us exactly what we need, but hopefully Analyze will help fill in any gaps we have.

We use Absorb LMS as our online learning platform for clergy and laity leaders throughout our conference. Our conference area consists of 52 counties in West Virginia and one county in Maryland. There are over 900 churches and we currently have over 1,300 learners registered on our platform. Absorb allows us to provide training and leadership development to our learners we would never be able to do otherwise. We save the time and expense of in-person meetings, and our learners are able to take the courses on their schedule and not ours.

Our Client Success Manager, Sherrie L., has been amazing! She has worked with us very closely to help new departments and new admins get set up and gives of her time and experience to all. We do not have anyone working full time on our online platform, so it has been very important to us to have an LMS that does not require a lot of daily interaction. This is definitely the case with Absorb. Our admins are able to set up a course quickly, and our learners are able to get right to taking the courses they want. When we have run into questions or minor issues (usually cased by us) the help desk at Absorb has been incredible. I don't think we have ever had a ticket go over 24 hours. In fact, most of them have been solved in an hour or two. Partnering with Absorb LMS has been a wise decision for our organization. One we would make again today. I cannot recommend Absorb highly enough. They have helped us move our learning into the 21st century.

We use Absorb LMS for both internal and external users that require specific auditable education regarding our products and policies. We deployed Absorb to over 5000 external users across the globe in multiple different languages and branding to engage the different demographics for both regulatory and marketing initiatives. The platform allowed us to build out a collaborative hybrid learning methodology internally which enabled individual business units autonomy in the system for their unique learning needs.

Without Absorb we wouldn't have been able to launch multiple learning campaigns for different brands. These ranged from product education to international resellers to our own internal sales reps. The ability to engage the user when they first see the platform can't be understated. The attention span of learners in 2023 is extremely short and having the ability to make notifications per course (and per brand) to look like a marketing email (w/ videos and interactions through HTML) is powerful. Other platforms allow for some customizability, but not to the level that Absorb does and people underestimate how important that is in a platform that can be used for so many user cases and demographics. Add in the ability to separate demographics in the platform, add collaborations, their own leaderboards etc. - it's something that has to be experienced holistically to appreciate fully.

MLS Soccer uses the Absorb LMS for multiple departments within our organization including MLS Next Pro and the EFCL. Our primary focus with Absorb is employee, coach, and player compliance training.

Well suited for being able to upload and create courses with ease for users. In the same sense, it does require a lot of training to get the best out of the system as some of the prompts/user admin experience is not simple to understand at times.

I manage the Absorb database, which is used to distribute training for healthcare professionals. I am responsible for learner profiles, site design, uploading content, testing, and reports - to name a few. I do like this system. It is very intuitive. I like that my consultant Greg Law is available and knowledgeable if I have issues or questions. He has always responded quickly! This matters more than the system itself. Because often if I have an idea for implementing a new process that the system is limited in doing, he will have an alternative suggestion. Overall, I'd recommend this service to others in my field.

  • Better responsive design for mobile users is needed. Many tiles don't show the images when using mobile devices.

Absorb LMS is the primary e-Learning platform at my organization. The system is primarily used to disperse off-the-shelf soft-skill training, as well as our in-house curated training, to our field employees (RMs/DMs/Trainers/Store and Assistant Managers)
  • I have a wonderful Client Success Manager (Zoe MacKay) who always makes herself available to my organization when needed. She is a delight to work with.
  • The Absorb LMS platform is easy to navigate from an end-user perspective.
  • This is my first time administering an LMS platform, and Absorb LMS is pretty user-friendly once you get the hang of it!
  • I find the Absorb LMS Knowledge Base to be a bit laborious to have to search through to find answers...and sometimes they are not easily understandable
  • As simple as it may seem, I would like the ability to hit enter after entering search information rather than having to select the "Add Filter" button
  • I would like the ability to run reports on multiple things at once (i.e., courses, etc.)
Absorb is well-suited for companies using certain HRIS systems that only have employees in one country. Absorb LMS is not well-suited for companies that have multiple API pulls for different countries, hence you have to manually add and remove users.

We have 4 entities located in different provinces in Canada.

One of the entity starts fresh with an opening and new staff to train. Absorb implementation worked like a charm.
The 2 others are more of a challenge, as we are in operation, and the buy-in of the managers ( who are accountable of the success of their employees and training) have more challenges.
The Head office is a no brainer.

  • Communication (newsletter / emails)
  • I'm happy Absorb offers licences to add training courses (Amplify). Looking forward to more available options and French options
  • I feel like Absorb Academy is not that easy to use ot to get to when you have a specific question when programming.

Our business is in the field of E-Learning targeting Healthcare Professionals who are looking to gain initial certification or recertification within their career. I manage the Learning Management System for the company, including providing customer service, learning architectural design, scaffolding of learning environments, creating communities of practice, and more. Absorb allows us to have an efficient platform to not only host content for users, but to encourage them to engage deeply in the learning process. We are currently revamping our learning ecosystem toward one that is more efficient, supportive, and inclusive to learners of all stages within their career. Absorb meets us where we are at and has the capability to stretch and grow as we do. Our account liaison, Zoe MacKay is fantastic and she is always responsive to our desires - be they for functionality, explanation of additional services provided by Absorb, or just learning theory and philosophy conversations.
  • Responsive to customer needs and desires via account rep and Absorb Ideas space
  • Provides a collaborative meaning-making space for customers to collaborate on using Absorb effectively.
  • Absorb is reflexive to your needs as a company and is comfortable meeting you where you are at and allowing you room to grow.
  • Absorb, while having a great space for putting forth ideas, could be better about sharing their roadmap and plans for development with their corporate clients. We need to know so that we can design with these new or updated features in mind and amplify the message ahead of time instead of being more reactive.
  • Absorb has room for more growth in the hosting of external content, as well as some functionality pieces when integrating learning objects into a course or curriculum. These objects do not link to one another and inherit completion, even when they are shared across different courses. My understanding is that they do in AbsorbCreate, but not the built-in LMS management suite of software.
Absorb is well-suited for organizations that want an LMS with many different features that can be configured to your needs. The tools and access are fantastic compared to competitors. Over the past few years, Absorb has done well to stay on the forefront of design, although I have noticed that they have not dug in as deeply with A.I. integration (outside of the intelligent assistant in the search function for the LMS). This is surprising as they seem to be a company that is looking for ways to innovate in the space. Further, Absorb supports their employees and clients through providing enriching experiences via Absorb Ally Chats which lean into Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice. While I have not had experience with many account representatives, I can say that Zoe MacKay is wholly supportive, available, and collaborative in her approach to growing her clients and the capabilities behind Absorb.

We use Absorb across our entire organization across dozens of office locations throughout the United States. We deliver all of our organization-created courses as well as off the shelf courses to all of our employees, including new hire orientation as well as individual training modules. This has helped us tremendously in cutting costs from traveling to locations to do training as well as creating a standard form of training across all locations.

  • Easier way of seeing who employees report to so we can create manager groups.
Absorb is very well suited for any company looking to standardize training for all employees. It is also best suited when paired with a course vendor to pick specific courses aimed towards employees and their interests. This makes orientation very simple. We used to have a 2-hour orientation conference to cover everything these courses can cover.

We use Absorb for our corporate learning platform, ELI. We also utilize Go1 integrated with Absorb. We mainly use our LMS for compliance, professional development, and reporting.

Absorb meets all of our basic needs. Where it falls short is the above and beyond. It would be great to be able to customize the experience for learners more and integrate learning into the workflow, such as within Teams. Hard to increase engagement with the platform when customization abilities for the learner side are fairly basic. Reporting capabilities have a way to go towards improvement. However, the support team is quick and knowledgeable.
